چکیده

Recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) discharge management limits the development of sector, because RAS do not automatically result in low nutrient emissions. Research has helped develop such as wetlands and woodchip bioreactors that have been adopted by Danish commercial model trout farms. To further concept, we modelled built a novel “zero-discharge” recirculating system with an annual capacity approximately 14 tonnes. The aim this paper is to describe entire concept present results from start-up phase whole system. includes treatment effluent (overflow sludge supernatant) using hybrid solution bioreactor, constructed vertical wetland, sand infiltration. Using three-step process, nitrate, phosphorus, organic matter are decreased acceptable levels reuse water process reducing need for new raw water. In first nine months operation, field was used end-of-pipe ensure safe recirculate fish. During winter, temperature dropped 2.7 degrees filter, but frost did reach any processes. It therefore appears can operate sufficiently even winter conditions. year bioreactor remove 97 % although slow caused be N-limited. On average, 79 92 inflow phosphate concentration removed respectively. wetland filter (35 %), longer than designed actual residence, it leached more expected. Further experimentation needed identify financial applicability performance during higher feeding rates.

Zero-discharge of nutrients and water in a willow dominated constructed wetland.

A novel constructed wetland system has been developed to treat sewage, evaporate water and recycle nutrients from single households at sites where effluent standards are stringent and soil infiltration is not possible. Main attributes of the willow wastewater cleaning facilities are that the systems have zero discharge, the willows evapotranspire the water, and nutrients can be recycled via the...

Study on treatment of aquaculture wastewater using a hybrid constructed wetland

This paper reported the pollutant removal performances of a hybrid wetland system for the treatment of aquaculture wastewater. The system consisted of two treatment stages: a subsurface vertical flow (VF) wetland, followed by a horizontal flow (HF). The aquaculture wastewater with the different concentrations such as eutrophy and mesotrophy was treated using hybrid constructed wetland. The expe...

Dietary Chlosterol Requirement of Juvenile Narrow-clawed Crayfish (Astacus leptodactylus) in a Recirculating Aquaculture System

Dietary cholesterol has been shown to be essential for several crustacean species. However, cholesterol requirement of narrow-clawed crayfish has not been reported. Therefore, a 12-week feeding trial was conducted to determine deitary cholesterol requirement of narrow-clawed crayfish. Juvenile crayfish with an average body weight of 13.8±1 g mean weight were intensively stocked in an indoor rec...

Biological phosphate removal in a prototype recirculating aquaculture treatment system

Efforts to reduce phosphorus concentrations in aquaculture systems have mainly dealt with improving the bioavailability of phosphorus in fish feed. Once released into the culture water, phosphorus is generally left untreated and discharged with the effluent water. In the present study, results are presented on a prototype recirculating treatment system originally designed for removal of organic...
